The 8th Doctoral Retreat of the Department of Earth Sciences, ETH Zürich, will take place from May 19th-22nd, 2022, in and around the Konfuziushaus located in the lovely Black Forest in Southern Germany ( https://iyouth.de/en/black-forest-group-accommodation/). On the outskirts of the little village Bernau, surrounded by meadows and forest, the Konfuziushaus offers great possibilities and spaces for the academic program and all not-so-serious activities in and around the house that make the Doctoral Retreat so unique. And for the excursions on Saturday, as one of the most popular holiday regions in Germany, the Black Forest offers numerous possibilities for diverse outdoor and indoor activities.

We aim to also accommodate for everyone who is attending EGU 2022 in-person. Thanks to the support of the Department of Earth Sciences at ETH Zurich, this event (excluding beverages and potentially some activities) is free.
